I Don't Know What Happened, But I Didn't Do It...

Hi everyone. I know it has been a long time since we have posted. Chevy normally does these, but he said I had to do this one.

There has been a lot of activity here, human has gone on some trips, and there was an accident. I did not do it. Before I tell you, what happened, I want you to know that Chevy is fine... and I am innocent.

Earlier this week, human went away again on a trip. I don't know where she goes. She was gone for a few days. Chevy and I were so excited to see her we ran to the door to greet her. We had not seen in her in THREE DAYS! Well, again, I don't know what happened - but after human opened the door and came in with her suitcase, she shut the front door. Then Chevy took off running very scared while human started crying and yelling. I was just trying to say hi to the human. Next thing I know human is picking Chevy up and throwing him in the cat carrier. She and Chevy left. She never even said hi to me. I had no idea what happened. I don't think she was home more than 3 minutes before she was gone again. It was the strangest thing. I did not even get chicken!

I have never been home alone. So, I was really worried, and scared. And confused. Where did she take Chevy? Why so fast? What happened?

A couple hours later she and Chevy returned. Chevy smelled really funny. He smelled like the vet!! Human had taken him to the vet!!! But why? I kept trying to tackle Chevy to show him how excited I was he was home, but he didn't want to play with me. He seemed really upset. Human had been crying. Honestly, she looked awful.

Then I realized something was very different with Chevy - he was missing part of his tail. What did human do? Did she take it? Did the vet take it? All of this was too much for me.

After a few hours, Chevy seemed less upset, and we cuddled for a bit. Human still looked awful, so I tried to cuddle some with her. I know it helped her. I am good cuddler.

By the morning, Chevy and I were playing like normal. Human still looked awful. Whatever happened to Chevy's tail seemed to bother her more than it bothered him. Chevy told me he didn't know what happened. He seemed as confused as I was.

I heard human talking on the phone, she said Chevy got his tail stuck in the door when she was coming in with her suitcase. It clipped his tail. She was upset because she didn't want him to get sick or be in any pain.

Human and I are doing a great job in taking care of him. I took charge of this because I know my bro better than anyone. He is doing great. We are playing like normal, hanging out, arguing over the shower, just like nothing happened.

Chevy's tail may be a bit shorter, but he is still the best brother a guy could ask for. I know he is going to be just fine, and as you read - I was innocent in this entire thing.
