I wasn't doing anything...

This weekend I was banned from going out on the lanai during laundry time. The human told me a couple times she was going to do it, but honestly, I did not believe her.

Here is my version (and the true story) of what actually happened:

There is a pipe that drains water from the washing machine. It is not installed properly. That is not my fault. It is my job to protect the house from any water that may enter.

I monitor all water activities - baths, showers, laundry, dishes, and even the mopping of the floors. It is a duty I take very seriously. And I am not too proud to acknowledge that I am very good at my job.

So, when I hear the water draining into the pipe, I must go over and check to make sure it is draining properly. Sometimes, I inadvertently dislodge the pipe causing water to flow onto the lanai instead of down the drain. It is the danger of the job. But now, human says because I pull the pipe out and water gets everywhere, I cannot be out on the lanai while the washer is running.

Who is going to watch the water? Who is going to do the safety checks? I know Chevy won't do them.

I am not mad, but I am disappointed. This can all be remedied quickly if she would realize I am just doing my job.

I demand my full lanai privileges be restored.

Poor Argy. My Arya loves water too and insists that having a wet head from playin in the water fountain helps her think better. Is it a black and white cat thing?
